Your Daily Dose of My Opinion
For those who may not have heard, the U.S. military has eliminated our world's biggest threat. Now I'm not a political person by any means which is why I won't go too in-depth with this but I couldn't stand the way that President Trump delivered his message to the public. To publicly announce he was killed like a dog, screamed and cried was a bit graphic in my opinion. I'm grateful for our military in doing their job and eliminating the target, but I felt that Trump could've chosen a few different words in announcing what happened. Aside from that, I hope everyone had a great weekend and see you all tonight!

How I Learn Best
Growing up I can definitely say that I was very much a visual and hands-on learner. If we had to listen to recordings or the teacher lecture and verbally walk us through a "how-to" project, I found myself not benefiting as much from actually doing the task myself. For me it goes with the saying practice makes perfect.....the more I was able to practice something hands-on I was far more successful with what we were learning. Also, I've never been much of a reader but I'll sit and watch a movie any day! If I had to choose reading a book or to watch a movie to collect notes.....I'm watching the movie! I do find myself adapting to audio (podcasts) to learn about random things but I'm still not much of a big reader. One of these days I'll grow up and open a book, but for now......I'll stick to my podcasts and movies :)

My Intro to Twitter
As a new twitter user, I'm still getting used to how it all works and thinking about who I want to follow and what interests me. However, as I scroll through my feed and read some of these posts I can't help but think what in the world would drive someone to post something like that!? There was an educational account that had posted a picture asking what a teacher would do with their class if they lost all power and had to use a deck of cards to teach.......what!? I know I'm new to all of this but I find it so random! I mean if that ever happens I'm playing heads up seven up no doubt! Now I don't find this as barbaric as some of the other posts I've seen on social media (which is more so what I'm referring to) but I just couldn't help but think how fricken random is that. As a new twitter user I'm starting to find myself becoming more attached to social media and I can't tell if it's a good thing or not. Just last night I caught myself wanting to go on Twitter to search for some news I was looking for. IMMEDIATELY I thought to myself I never would've done this in the past, but I've come to learn how informative Twitter can be and what a great source for information it is. With that being said........TWEET ON!!

Technology in Education
It's been awhile since being associated with a school and how their curriculum works and the technology that's evolved the way we teach. After doing some research from last class to this class its become more and more eye opening to me how drastic our schools have changed since I walked the halls of Andrew High School from 05-09. Never did I begin to think that technology as it is now would be so involved with our students and incorporating education. After reading through an article on how our tech gadgets have increased productivity and created more hands on involvement with understanding material I'm glad to have come across the topic.
Speaking for myself I can definitely say if I had what our schools have now, I would've gained a far better understanding on topics discussed in class. I was a lost cause and had absolutely no interest in learning whatever the teacher had to say! There were few who made class interesting and gained my interest, but with the technology introduced today and allowing you to do things such as screencast, use virtual exit slips and educational software's such as Nearpod......all of these would've definitely helped myself as a student. What a time to be alive as a kid!!
